On January 17th, we interviewed Mr. Young, the Hero of the Day. Some of the skills you will need to become Hero of the Day are being friendly, patient and energetic. His favorite part of being Hero of the Day was seeing the kids smile. He wanted to be the Hero of the Day because he wanted to help out the school and volunteer. Some advice he wanted to give to future Deep Run heroes is to “bring lots of smiles and get your hand ready to give lots of high fives.” He would describe working atmosphere and students at Deep Run as “Great! The kids were great the teachers were Great. The classrooms were great.”
Mr. Young is an accountant. When he is not Hero of the Day, he works in an office as an accountant. He is a huge sports fan so he watches lots of sports games too. Mr. Young’s son is Jason Young and he goes to Deep Run Elementary.
