News and Event
Field Day is Today!
Students should wear appropriate clothing, sneakers and a hat. Students should also bring a filled water bottle labeled with their name. Please apply sunscreen before coming to school. Students can bring sunscreen but need to have a note from their parents giving them permission to apply it. Staff will not be able to apply the sunscreen. Volunteers should sign in at the front office before going to the fields. Thank you!

End of Year Medication Pick-Up from the Deep Run Health Room
If your child has medication in the health room please pick it up during school hours. Last day of pick up will be Monday, June 18 by 1 pm. Any medications not picked up before the last student is dismissed on Tuesday will be disposed of properly. Medications will NOT be sent home with students. Should you have any questions, please call the health room at 410-313-5051.
Deep Run Volunteer Tea is June 4th at 2:15
If you volunteered for PTA or school events, chaperoned a field trip, or volunteered in the classroom, please join us for the Deep Run Volunteer Tea on June 4th from 2:15-3:45 in the cafeteria.

Parent Survey
Deep Run (DRES) is a Schoolwide Title I School. Parent Involvement is an important part of Title I. DRES and Howard County Public Schools (HCPSS) value your input and partnership in supporting the academic success of your child. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey regarding school improvement, climate, and family engagement. This will be used to evaluate our Title I program so that we can better serve you. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential. Please complete the online survey by Monday, May 28. If you already completed the survey during the schoolwide enrichment night we thank you.

Kindergarten Here We Come!
The Howard County Library is offering a Kindergarten Here We Come program for children entering kindergarten. Please view the attached flier.
Last Day of School
The last day of school will now be June 19th. There will be a three hour early dismissal on June 15, 18, and 19. The 5th grade promotion was moved to June 14th. Half Day RECC and PreK will have their last day on June 14th.
