PARCC Testing for Grades 3-5

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a consortium of states developing assessments to measure student achievement in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics for grades 3-8 and high school. The primary purpose of PARCC is to provide high quality assessments of students’ progression toward postsecondary readiness and success.

Listed below is the PARCC schedule for our third, fourth, and fifth graders. All PARCC testing will take place in the morning unless otherwise noted below. Testing sessions range from 60-90 minutes daily. Third and fourth grade will switch schedules on days when third grade participates in PARCC to allow our students to test in the morning.

Third Grade ELA:

Tuesday 5/7; Wednesday 5/8; Friday 5/10; & Thursday 5/16 (Field Test -PM)

Third Grde Math:

Tuesday, 5/28; Wednesday, 5/29; Thursday, 5/30; & Friday 5/31

Fourth Grade ELA:

Thursday, 5/2; Friday, 5/3; Monday, 5/6; & Monday 6/3 (Field Test)

Fourth Grade Math:

Monday, 5/20; Tuesday, 5/21; Wednesday 5/22; & Friday, 5/24

Fifth Grade ELA:

Monday, 4/29; Tuesday, 4/30; Wednesday, 5/1; & Wednesday 6/5 (Field Test)

Fifth Grade Math:

Monday, 5/13; Tuesday, 5/14; Wednesday 5/15; & Thursday 5/16

Parents can help students prepare for this assessment by ensuring students are on time to school and are encouraged and ready to do their best.
