Have you completed your Family File for 2023-24?

The 2023-2024 Family File is now available for families to complete.  Every year HCPSS families must complete a Family File for each child who attends school. HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information.  This needs to be completed BEFORE you can see your child’s teacher in Canvas the week of August 21st.

Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child and can do so by logging in to HCPSS Connect PARENT ACCOUNT and selecting the MORE OPTIONS tab on the left and then clicking on Family File.

Once logged in, you will be asked to update or provide the following information:

  • Student Information
  • Parent/Guardian Contact
  • Emergency Contacts
  • Medical Information
  • Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
  • Photo Approval Data Confidentiality
  • PTA/PTSA Directory

Again, it is important that you complete the Family File in order to receive the name of your child's teacher for the upcoming school year.  Here is the link to guides to support the completion of the Family File - HCPSS Connect – Guides – HCPSS.

Thank you for your help in getting this completed as soon as possible for the upcoming school year!

Register Your Child Today

We need your help in spreading the word regarding Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year! As we prepare for our upcoming school year, it is important to have your child registered to ensure we have the correct number of teachers for our students. Please do not delay!  Help us with the process by registering your student as soon as possible!

Kindergarten Registration ~ Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open! Families of children who will be five years old by September 1, 2023, should enroll their child in kindergarten or submit a kindergarten waiver.  Families can find more information about enrolling children in kindergarten, as well as resources to support kindergarten readiness, the kindergarten waiver, and more on the HCPSS website.

HCPSS Pre-K Program ~ The HCPSS Pre-K program is accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year with expanded eligibility criteria.  Families of children aged four by September 1, 2023, may apply.  The HCPSS Pre-K program is free to families; some locations are full day.  Families can submit a completed application to hcpss_pk@hcpss.org or to their local elementary school.  For more information about the program and2023-2024 eligibility, please visit the HCPSS website or contact Early Childhood Programs at 410-313-6836.

School Meals Information for 22-23 School Year

We are pleased to inform you that Deep Run Elementary School is one of eight schools that will be participating in a federal program available to schools as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in school year 2023-2024.

This means that all students attending Deep Run Elementary School are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge throughout the 2023-2024 school year, regardless of family or household income.  The school breakfasts and lunches that we serve follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals.
