Dear DRES Families,
We are celebrating Staff Appreciation Week from May 5- May 9. There will be many wonderful things happening to show Deep Run's Staff that we appreciate them, and we have lots of help from our community! A special thanks to the DRES Sunshine Committee and Colleen H's friend, Carol from Next Step Realty, as well as the DRES Administrative Team!
The PTA would like support with two things:
1. Please have your child write a note, send in a card or draw a picture to tell their teacher how wonderful they are and/or to show their appreciation!
2. Also, there will be a staff breakfast on Friday, May 9th and we are looking for donations for a few items. If you can donate, please click HERE to sign up!

Queridas familias de DRES,
Estamos celebrando la Semana de Apreciación al Maestro desde el 5 de mayo hasta el 9 de mayo. Habrá muchas cosas maravillosas para mostrar al personal de Deep Run que los apreciamos, ¡y necesitamos mucha ayuda de nuestra comunidad! Un agradecimiento especial al DRES Sunshine Committee y a la amiga de Colleen H, Carol de Next Step Realty, así como al equipo administrativo del DRES!
El PTA quisiera apoyo con dos cosas:
1. Por favor haga que su hijo escriba una nota, envíe una tarjeta o haga un dibujo para decirle a su maestro lo maravilloso que es y/o para mostrar su aprecio.

PTA Meetings are typically the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
The PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Supporting and speaking on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children (primarily National and State level PTAs)
Assisting parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
Encouraging parents and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

There are many opportunities to get involved. We’d love to hear your ideas! We are actively looking for volunteers to step up and take on a few critical roles for the new school year. What role can you see yourself in? Don’t see a role that suits you but want to take on another role in the PTA? Great, let us know!
Feels like too much work to chair a position? We are always looking for additional help with PTA events. You can volunteer your time, needed items, or maybe an extra donation with membership.
