Update Your Family File
Parents/guardians must verify and/or update emergency information for each child every school year. This is completed online in Family File, which has several new updates including how and where to access. Full details on updating your Family File are available online.
One exciting new feature is that families now can submit a change of address via Family File, rather than completing a separate form and sending it to their school. Full directions and information for families on this new process can be found online.
Change of Address Reminder
Any change of residency must be reported through Family File within 10 school days of the move. Current residency documentation must be provided to the school each time residency changes.

Changes to Non-Transportation (Walk) Areas for the 2025-2026 School Year
Dear families,
Based on revisions to Board of Education Policy 5200 Student TransportationLinks to an external site., the distance students may walk to school has decreased. As a result, more households in our school community will be eligible for bus transportation for the 2025-2026 school year.
Please view the online map MAP that shows the updated non-transportation (walk) area for our school. Families can use the 2025-2026 Attendance Area LocatorLinks to an external site. to verify their transportation status. Please note: bus stop information will be available in mid-August, prior to the start of the school year.
We will communicate any additional changes that take place prior to the start of the school year.
Atentamente

Help Keep Schools Pest-Free This School Year
I’m reaching out to ask for your help keeping our school pest-free all year long and want to share a few things to keep in mind as you send your child to school each day. Since food is one of the main reasons rodents try to get inside a building, please consider the following guidance:
- Send snacks and lunches in sealed, hard plastic or metal containers rather than loose in bags. Rodents can easily chew through paper and thin plastic.
- Use reusable lunchboxes with zipper closures, and make sure the zipper fully closes.
- Send foods with strong odors like peanut butter and sweet treats in airtight containers.
- Remind your child to bring home any uneaten food daily—don’t store snacks in desks, lockers or cubbies overnight.
- Make it a routine to empty and wipe down lunchboxes every day.
As a reminder, there is a lot of other helpful information about the 2025-26 school year on the HCPSS websiteLinks to an external site. including back to school night dates, school supply lists, transportation information, and much more.
