Deep Run students will be working with an Artist in Residence this week.  Ssuuna is a dancer, drummer, singer, songwriter, storyteller, and recording artist from Uganda.  He will be performing for all grades on Monday, October 15th.  Ssuuna will be working with third grade students from the 15th through the 18th.  On the afternoon of the 18th, the third graders will perform for students in the school and third grade parents at 2:30.

The Artist in Residence with Ssunna  was funded in part by a grant from the Howard County Government, the MD State Arts Council, the Columbia Foundation and Target and our own PTA funds. We are grateful to Young Audiences/Arts for Learning Maryland for their support in bringing Ssunna to Deep Run.
