American Education Week 2025 at Deep Run Elementary School
We are excited to celebrate American Education Week from November 17th to 21st! We invite you to visit our classrooms and experience our vibrant learning environment firsthand. To accommodate your schedule, we've created a flexible itinerary for the week, featuring grade-specific times for you to visit your child’s classroom and engage in learning together.
In addition to the times below, please join us for a Title I Parent Connect on Thursday, November 20th from 9:30-10:30 am. Learn about our school improvement plans, ask questions, and connect with our staff.
During your visits, teachers will be actively teaching, and students will be fully engaged in their learning, which may limit opportunities for personal discussions.
Here's what you need to know:
● Sign in at the front office (bring your driver's license).
● Wear your visitor sticker at all times.
● No photos or videos, please.
● Silence your phone.
● Be mindful of student confidentiality.
Important Notes:
● Due to safety concerns, visitors cannot attend recess (unless there is a particular team-wide activity).
● Please see below for some highlighted dates/times to join your child’s class in a fun activity! If you cannot attend the listed dates/times, you are welcome to join us at any point throughout the week (recess visitation is not allowed due to safety concerns).
Lunch Visit
In addition, we hope families will visit lunch with their child and their classmates. At DRES, we continue to work on creating a positive school climate among students, staff, and community. We hope you participate in some of our tabletop discussions during your time with your child at lunch with their peers.

We look forward to seeing you next week!
